One of ATEEC’s areas of expertise is the development and facilitation of occupational analyses. An occupational analysis is an instructional design activity that researches and assesses the status of a targeted occupation or occupational area. An important part of an occupational analysis is getting input from experts in that occupation on the tasks, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform a job. ATEEC often facilitates this data gathering as a structured group interview activity. For a detailed example of an occupational analysis that ATEEC has facilitated, see the Defining Energy Technologies and Services Report.
