The River Tales CD-ROM allows children to learn amazing facts about the wondrous variety of life near the Mississippi River. The hundreds of pictures and an interactive question-and-answer format make if fun for children to learn. The easy point-and-click format allows the child to explore exactly what they want to know:

• What does it look like?
• What does it eat or how does it grow?
• What is its role in the ecosystem?

The modules are suggested for children ages 10 to 13, or as an enrichment activity for ages 8 and 9. A multitude of resources are provided with direct links from the CD to the Web, to enable additional research. The Web resources have been pre-selected for the appropriate age group, with written and photographic content that they’ll enjoy.

The CD can be used on both Windows and Mac operating systems.
