Task Analyses

One of ATEEC’s areas of expertise is the development and facilitation of task analyses. A task analysis is an instructional design activity that researches and assesses the details of performance of a specific job. An important part of a task analysis is getting input directly from workers who perform the job. The task analyst may observe a worker as he/she performs the job, or may facilitate a structured group interview to gather information on the tasks, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform the job. ATEEC often facilitates this data gathering as a DACUM activity. (DACUM stands for Developing a Curriculum.) For detailed examples of DACUMs that ATEEC has facilitated, click on DACUMS on the left-hand menu.
